When one dance season closes, another one opens. Time to leap into a new season! With recitals and Nationals finishing up it is now time to start preparing for a new season. Here are a few of my suggestions and reminders as you prepare for a new dance season.
Set up Prosody Backstage! Now if the perfect time to get your classes and studetns uploaded and everything set up and ready to go. The more organized you are the better. Prosody Backstage makes it easy to set you up for a succesfull season.
Plan out and schedule your events for the year. Register for competition, reserve venues, and research community events.
Post and promote your new season schedule.
Plan your marketing efforts for the year.
Get your teams ready: have auditions, get contracts signed, plan choreography and rehearsals, and have a team building activity.
Start choreography and costume planning. (Use Prosody Dance Notebook!)
Review and update any systems. Look at teacher, company, and business practices and policies.
Get your teachers lined up and contacts signed.
Review and implement any training for teacher, staff, and teaching assistants.
Touch up the studio. Organize, clean, paint, and spruce up your space.
