With the New Year approaching and the start of the dance studio busy season, now is the perfect time to take a step back and do a little reflection. The dance studio life can seem constantly busy, but it is important to look at how far you have come and look forward to where you want to go and how you plan to get there. During the break between Christmas and New Years I love to reevaluate my goals and mission. Sometimes I find that I am right on track. Other times I need to make adjustments. Here are some things for you to think about as you do your own relfection and evaluation.
What were your goals for the year? Did you accomplish them? Do you have the plan and system in place to meet your goals?
What in your studio is working? What gains have you made?
What in your studio are you struggling with? What needs to change?
What tools are available to help you meet your goals?
What is your mission? Are your systems and practices in line with your mission?
If you are looking at this list and are thinking "Mission? Goals? I am just surviving here", I see you. If goal setting hasn't been a part of your studio culture I encourage you to start now. Your goals don't have to be huge. They don't have to be money related. Your mission and goals shoulde be whatever is important to you.
As always, Prosody is here for you.
We get it.
