It's January and most studios are starting to look forward to their end of season recital. It is time to really get the recital planning into gear. Here are some recital planning items to think about this month as the May and June recitals come into view.
Confirm your venue and review all venue specifications and requirements.
Re-announce recital and dress rehearsal dates along with picture day dates to your staff and parents.
Order and confirm costumes.
Order and confirm props.
Confirm any vendors or suppliers that are needed for the recital.
Meet with your staff and discuss recital expectations and due dates.
Confirm music selections with your staff and cut and edit any music that needs it.
Confirm with parents and dancers participation in the recital.
Start thinking about the show order.
